Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive lender and borrower acquisition, form strategic partnerships, and accelerate platform adoption. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship builder with a deep understanding of private credit, venture debt, and alternative financing. You will be responsible for expanding our network of lenders and borrowers, optimizing deal flow, and contributing to our platform’s revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lender & Borrower Acquisition
Identify, engage, and onboard new lending partners (private credit funds, family offices, RIAs, and institutional lenders).
Maintain strong relationships with existing lenders, ensuring ongoing collaboration.
Attract and onboard startups and growth-stage businesses in need of flexible financing solutions.
Educate borrowers on the benefits of partnering with Insight Funders and match them with suitable lending options.
Strategic Partnerships
Develop partnerships with financial institutions, industry associations, and fintech firms to expand market reach.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams on co-branded initiatives and joint ventures.
Position Insight Funders as a trusted leader in private credit through thought leadership and industry engagement.
Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase deal volume and lender participation.
Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline, ensuring smooth borrower-lender matchmaking.
Track and report on key KPIs and revenue performance, providing actionable insights for optimization.
Market Research & Industry Engagement
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and new growth opportunities.
Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to enhance platform offerings.
Represent Insight Funders at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Client Success & Support
Act as a primary point of contact for lenders and borrowers, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
Address client inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and enhance overall user satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA or relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA, or FINRA licenses) are a plus.
Experience
3-5+ years in business development, sales, or partnerships within fintech, private credit, venture debt, or financial services.
Proven track record of acquiring and managing lender-borrower relationships.
Experience with private credit, alternative lending, or structured finance preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to structure financing solutions tailored to borrower needs.
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven decision-making.
Highly self-motivated, strategic, and results-driven.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
